Review: Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex Serum

Have you heard the old famous fairy tale of Snow white and seven dwarfs? In that story, the evil witch queen had a magical mirror and she used to ask the mirror:

“Mirror, mirror on the wall / Who in the land is fairest of all”

And the mirror would reply:

“You, my queen, are fairest of all.”

That was the time till Snow white was just a kid. Of course, she being the protagonist of the story replaced queen's place the moment she grew up leading to all other troubles in her life.

Anyways, I am not going to talk about fairness here, nor am I going to compare myself to the evil queen(evil laugh!!! lol ). But we all definitely want our mirrors to reflect that flawless, beautiful and glowing skin. Don't we? And, when it comes to getting ready for our big day (in this case my wedding!), it becomes even more important to look your flawlessly best. With that purpose in mind, I ordered this Estee lauder makeup kit from Amazon and got my hands on this beauty. At that time I was suffering from some marks from a bad broke out that happened to me a couple of months back. Also, thanks to my lack of sleep, over work on computer and loads of stress, my skin had become badly pigmented and uneven in its tone. I was eagerly trying to get rid of the marks and the pigmentation. But, everything I knew of was failing, so I could only see my last ditch attempt in this magic potion.

How I used it?

Since I didn't have the droppers with the travel kit I got, I took my estimate of the drops and applied it well over my marks and surrounding areas where there was a little bit of pigmentation for 3-4 weeks. I must say that the claims made by the company aren't hollow at all!

My experience with the product:

Though I included a lot of changes in my beauty regime in the month prior to my wedding, I used this serum religiously every night before going to sleep over my effected areas. I somehow also used to apply a bit of the serum on my dark circles, though it is not recommended. The serum would get absorbed immediately into my skin, leaving nothing behind, except for a bit of medicinal smell, which would also vanish after sometime. The spots began to reduce after second week and the pigmentation also reduced. I could tell the difference only with the change in my foundation application as I could see much even skin tone all over my face now. And yes! it did reduce my dark circles too adding to the overall glow of my face.

So, below are the pros and cons of this product:

Pros:

1) It is a magic potion for people who have pigmented and uneven skin tone. It works really well in bringing back the glow you want.

2) It worked well in removing all the bad broke out marks I had on my right side cheek.

3) The serum gets absorbed easily without leaving any oiliness or greasiness behind.

4) It didn't break me out

5) I can't tell how effective it is at my age, but seeing the way it has worked for me I believe that it would definitely work as a good anti-aging product too.

Cons:

1) It has a strong medicinal smell to it, which doesn't linger for long but may not suit many sensitive noses. I am however ok with any smell as long as it does what it claims to do!

2) Price: The actual product is priced quite high since it comes from Estee Lauder brand. But I feel, I might be needing the full bottle after 15-20 years or so and by that time I can easily save enough to get this for the rest of my life!! :)

Overall verdict: I feel this can be an excellent product for 35+ ladies. If you are young and you just want to get rid of any bad break out marks, I'd recommend you to buy some nice makeup or another product from Estee Lauder and ask them for the sample bottle of this product. Since the serum is quite concentrated and blends really well, it will clearly run for a month or so with just 2 drops of usage per day. It'd be more than enough to cure your problem for the moment. Another option is to buy an Estee Lauder travel kit from Amazon. There are plenty of choices available that you can choose from at good deals. Below are some of them:
