Hello lovelies. Hope your week has been kicking off to a good start! Today I thought I would show you a few bits I picked up from River Island. For those of you who have followed my blog for a little while will have defiantly noticed that I have a lot of River Island clothing. I just want to put it out there and be honest with you (a few of you on Twitter may already know) that the reason for this is because I do indeed work there! In no way do I want these posts to feel like I'm preferring River Island to other high street shops, but because I work there full time, I have to wear the clothes for uniform so therefore I only really get the majority of my clothes from there.
I know a lot of you beauties love to know what's new and current in the shops right now, so I thought I would share with you all a few bits I picked up for my uniform. I will be sure to do an OOTD with the pieces that you see, so you can really see how they look on, I've just not been feeling very photogenic recently, so please bear with me.
So the first thing I picked up was this bight printed blouse with bright fluorescent birds of paradise on them. When we got this in delivery, I laterally fell in love with it right away. Busy bold prints are really on trend this season and I thought that this blouse was prefect. It has a lovely lilac leaf print design with a black background. The shirt is sheer, but because its dark you could easily get away with nothing but a bra on underneath, especially if it were for a night out. It's slightly longer at the back which means it would also look great paired with leggings. The model in the above picture is sporting this blouse and wearing it as a cropped tie top, and this would look great for summer or on holiday.
I adore the birds which are scattered all over this top, as it really helps to create that staple look for the Miami trend.
Next up I decided to get these lovely blue Aztec leggings. I've always been a fan of Aztec design, but never actually owned anything with the famous print on. I love the detailed prints on these leggings and of course the colour as blue as to be my favourite to wear. If your feeling really daring you could pair these with a clashing printed top to be on trend. However I'm not that brave and opted for this silk vest top to wear with the leggings instead. It has a racer back design to it and could be paired with anything. I like that fact that the vest is smart looking and that it's long enough to wear with any leggings.
I hope you enjoyed this little haul beauties, if you want more information on any of the items, then all the links have been provided on the name of each item. Like I said I will be sure to do an OOTD post with these in so you can see how they look on.
Take Care
