March Favourites

Hello all, sorry I'm a couple of days late but here are my March favourites. Is it just me or is this year going SO fast? Seems like a week ago that we were seeing in the new year.
This month there are a few products that I've been reaching for regularly, so without further ado, here they are:

Starlytes Vanilla Bean Candle
I was heading out for dinner with my best friend who was home from university for the weekend when we called into Homebase to pick her up some fairy lights for her bedroom. Now we didn't actually leave with the fairy lights, but we did leave with one of these candles each. I absolutely adore the smell of vanilla, I think that's partly why I love MAC lipsticks so much. And when we spotted these huge candles for only £4 each, neither of us could resist. I've been burning this in my bedroom in the evenings and it smells so delicious. I think it will last me a really long time too and I will definitely be re-purchasing this when it's gone.

Neal's Yard Bee Lovely Hand Cream
I got this little beauty free with my Marie Claire magazine last month. I have to admit I don't usually read Marie Claire as I prefer magazines like Cosmo that include more affordable clothes and beauty products, instead of teasing me with £375287 dresses that I will never be able to afford (yes, that was a slight price exaggeration). BUT, I had been suffering from really dry skin on my hands this month and when I saw this freebie (which is usually worth £10), I had to pick it up. It smells lovely as it contains a blend of honey and orange essential oil and it really has left my hands feeling much softer and more hydrated. I don't think I would re-purchase this for full price though as I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives that do the same job (if you can recommend me one, please let me know in the comments below!).

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
I already have the original Urban Decay Naked palette which featured in my February favourites (my first ever favourites post) and I use it almost every day. Did I need the Naked 2? Truthfully, no. They are very similar. But because I use the Naked 1 so often and the quality is so good for the price, I thought I would treat myself to the Naked 2. This palette has a cooler feel to it in terms of the colours. It does contain some gold and brown toned shades like the Naked 1 but it also has some more grey-based shades. I would say that I still get more wear out of the Naked 1 colours but this palette is still 100% worth the money. And I LOVE the brush that came with it. I've seen some bad reviews of the brush but I personally really enjoy using it. It is double-ended so there is a shadow brush and a crease brush. While the shadow brush is a little small and stiff for my liking, the crease brush is fantastic and I use it every day now to blend out my eye shadow.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in 'Papaya'
I love this range from Barry M, it has such a gorgeous finish. Just like the name suggests these polishes dry to a very shiny gel-like finish and the colour range is so pretty. This has been one of my favourite shades to wear this month, it's a lovely pale pastel orange colour and is perfect for Spring.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in '101'
I've had this lipstick for quite a while now but I've been reaching for it a lot more often this month. It's a gorgeous blue-toned pink (the blue tones supposedly make your teeth appear white, don'tcha know). I normally tend to stay away from matte lipsticks as I have fairly dry lips so prefer more moisturising formulas, but I love the finish of this lipstick. It is definitely not drying, it has a nice satin-like finish and great colour pay-off. I'd definitely recommend this lipstick.

Max Factor Masterpiece Max Mascara
Finally, I've been trying to lay off using my YSL false lash effect mascara as I'm already onto like my fourth tube of the stuff and it is pretty expensive so I need to try and make it last a bit longer. So instead, this month I've been using the masterpiece max mascara from Max Factor and I'm really enjoying it. Max Factor have a pretty good reputation for their mascaras which I think is justified, although they are on the pricey side for a 'drugstore' mascara. This makes my lashes look thick and long, which is exactly what I look for in a mascara, as do most people, I'm sure. The last couple of days, I've been applying my L'Oreal Telescopic mascara on top to add a little bit more length and to separate my lashes more, and I really like the look I get from this combination.

So that's it for my March favourites, I hope you enjoyed it!
Have you tried any of these products? What's in your March favourites?
(Leave me the link to your most recent favourites post as they're one of my favourites types of posts to read!)
