Lunatick Cosmetic Labs: Apocalipslick

I really wanted to get my hands on a few Pretty Zombie Cosmetics but, due to most being sold out  .. I only manage to add one to my cart (Blue Moon - here's the review). Yet, I still felt the need for a vegan cosmetic lip fix so, I decided to just give Lunatick Apocalipslicks a try. Initially, I bought 3 shades (Tainted Temptress, Grave Heart Shift and London Bridge). HoweverI was so impressed by the pigmentation, the feel and the general quality that I put my money where my mouth was and purchased a few more shades - Ritual Red, Succubus, Crypt Cream, Paranormal and then Renegade (pictured way below). The only downside I can truly find with these lipstick glosses are that they aren't enough shades! I would love some more colours like a true black, a plum, maybe a deep brown (?) .. but I suppose I should be happy because that just means I can save me monies! Even though Creature does look tempting ...

I just listed what shades are featured in the picture on the left with the list on the right ... just in case you were wondering ... Oh and Apocalips are Talc Free
Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick Swatches ... oh dear - I just realised Grave Heart shift is not on here (Homer Simpson moment doh!). Now let me make up an explanation ... Grave Heart Shift is a really difficult shade to capture on my camera ... that's actually true but yeah I did forget it ... don't worry I'll swatch it in another pic below
...
This is the amended version - I'm keeping the other picture up because you can see the colours are a bit more vibrant in the first pic (natural lighting change ... the British sky just got greyer ... as usual various shades of grey mmm-yes-lovely). Plus I think it shows how the colours can look in different variants ...
One last swatch for yay - Renegade ... yes I purchased this last of all - when it came back in stock because I really wanted to see how it would look on my skin/lips. I've decided to keep my initial pictures and swatches rather than redoing the pictures because no.1. It shows my natural progression and enthusiasm for the products (whilst reviewing the products I still was interested in getting more) and no.2. I'm lazy. Makes sense.

A swatch of Renegade all by itself.
Hang on ... I think its important to talk about packages.
*Udpate - The larger tube is actually meant to hold 15% more product so I did get more than what I thought (despite a gap being in the tube) - my bad. So if you do see a larger container that means that you recieved a little extra - yeah!
Onto lip swatches. Well after I explain some things ..

I thought I'd start from lightest to darkest because that's how I swatched them as some of them do stain. Note: I took these pictures in natural light and natural sunlight to try and get true representations of the shades and how they look on the lips. I am not wearing any foundation in these pictures because I wanted to show how they looked against my bare skin (flaws and all) and I have not doctored these pictures in any way apart from adding my usual 'stamp' (Mango and Fudge) and product description.
...
Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick in Renegade
Renegade: Advertised as a creamy light brown nude, that description is very apt. Renegade is a light brown grey nude shade. It's practically corpse concealer for my lips on my dark skin which is totally trendy right now! (on the internet). It reminds me a lot of LA Splash Ghoulish but, since LA Splash don't ship internationally - I can't say for sure because ya gurl don't have it. Yet, what makes this better than Ghoulish is that Apocalipslicks are not velvet lacquer mattes so I can mix it with other products and play around with the shade and texture. So overall I'm overjoyed + they're moisturising (all Apocalipslicks). To wear this comfortable I dab a little bit on my lips - rub it into my lips and then use a brown lip liner to deepen the edges and wallah corpse-like nude that's deathly-cute rather than plan ole deadly. Maybe I'll show different looks that can be done with Renegade in another post ... maybe.
Finish: Semi matte feel & look with a slight sheen.
Scent: Minty hemp like smell that is similar to OCC Lip Tars - light. Its not unpleasant - I like it.
Does it stain?: No.

Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick in Crypt Cream
Crypt Cream: Advertised as a natural cream colour with a hint of pink ... In my opinion this shades is a pastel pink coral (same thing really isn't it - lol). Personally, I don't think this suits me as its far too white based and is definitely not my shade at all. Hence, its definitely a shade that I will mix with other lip colours and products. I've included some more pictures below of Crypt Cream to get the overall gist of the shade and for you to see the whiteness it has in it. Its nice but, just not for me ...
Finish: Semi-matte feel & look with a slight sheen.
Scent: Peppermint Hemp smell (OCC) - light.
Does it stain?: No.

Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick in London Bridge
London Bridge: Advertised as a 'cool toned blue based smokey grey' - correct. A very unique shade, not quite blue not quite grey. Again like Grave Heart Shift its very opaque and completely wipes out any pigmentation in my lips. Very unique, I really like it.
Finish: Semi-matte feel & look with a slight sheen.
Scent: Hemp mint smell - light.
Does it stain?: No.

Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick in Grave Heart Shift
Grave Heart Shift: advertised as a 'creamy opaque violet' - Its completely true, this lip gloss is 100% opaque and pigmented. I have acquired quite a few violet lip products and this is one of the best! Not only is the colour fan-blooming-fantastic its weightless and not gloopy or heavy feeling like other violet lip products I have (Illamasqua). Thus, for £6.99 its a steal (I shouldn't say that too loud) completely worth the price and then some. Warning: this stains lips a bright pinky red shade that is actually surprisingly nice but still ... be warned it does stain lips (see end stain swatches for visual detail)
Finish: Semi-matte feel & look with a slight sheen.
Scent: Watermelon berry scent - somewhat strong but does dissipate. At first I really preferred this scent but, now I prefer the hemp-mint scent. Who knows I just might change my mind again.
Does it stain?: Yes!

Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick in Succubus
Succubus: Advertised as a medium fuchsia pink - a wearable though very striking shade. Super pigmented as always. At first this shade was not really my thing but, its really grown on me ... I love how bright it is - its like a grown up barbie pink that Kicks BUTT instead of kissing up to Ken (oh my misandry is strong - j-o-k-i-n-g).
Finish: Glossy. Succubus is the most glossy Apocalipslick out of all the ones I have.
Scent: Watermelon berry scent - somewhat strong.
Does it stain?: Yes.

Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick in Ritual Red
Ritual Red - Advertised as a royal red which is a great description but I would go as far to say, its a true blood red. This was the main reason for my second repurchase as I really wanted to try a more normal shade and I was not disappointed. Its totally one of the best reds in my collection (and I've got a load)
Finish: Glossy but not overtly so like Succubus or Paranormal.
Scent: Watermelon berry scent - somewhat strong.
Does It stain?: Yes.

Luantick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick in Paranormal (can you see the remnants of Ritual Red on my face lol)
Paranormal - Advertised as a hauntingly beautiful deep purple - well ... I didn't really desire this shade but opted to get at least one more lipslick to pass the free shipping mark (you know you so do that too) ... it was between Paranormal, Creature and Pout-Off! and Paranormal won cause I felt it would suit my skin better. Its definitely growing on me.
Finish: Glossy - not as glossy as Succubus but nearly there.
Scent: Watermelon berry scent - somewhat strong.
Does it stain?: Yes.

Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick in Tainted Temptress (remnants of Paranormal still on my face - haheho)
Tainted Temptress: Advertised as a 'creamy opaque blackened berry red'. Colourwise its true description but, this colour is not as opaque as the others when comparing how the product looks in the tube (in the tube it looks black on the lips - not so much). Yet, the pigmentation can be built up. However, I love the blackened berry colour that one coat provides - its so beautiful! Admittedly I was disappointed that this lip gloss was not as black as I thought it would be (I really wanted a true black) but, I think its very unique (I don't have a shade like this in my hoard/collection) and in some ways its a bit better than plain olde black (though I still want a true black). I think its important to note that Tainted Temptress does look blacker and less red in person - my camera has picked up the red which is nice but, the shade is really like a Black Tulip or Dahlia flower.  I love it, whenever I put in on for a swatch I end up leaving it on for the rest of the day - true love.
Finish: Depending on how much you use it can be very glossy or almost matte. I like using less product on my lips because it gives me more of the red hue and looks more matte.
Scent: Watermelon berry scent - somewhat strong
Does it stain: Yeah kinda (though not as bad likes the others *coughs* Grave Heart Shift is the worst stainer).
Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Apocalipslick in Tainted Temptress swatches

... Any other things to say? Yes. Apocalipslips come with a standard doe foot aplicator -which does the job perfectly! All shades are moisturising and super pigmented. I only applied one coat of each shade on my lips in all the pictures, to show how extreme and true to tube most of the colours are. Oh and I thought I'd show how my lips progressed from swatch to swatch from staining just to clarify ...

Apocalipslicks that stain
So that's it! I've lost my mind and a fair wedge of my balance too, over these lip products. I hope these lip swatches help if you're looking for or enquiring about Apocalipslicks - I've tried to present them the best I can but, alas I can only do so much :).

Lastly: I bought all Apocalipslicks from Cute Cosmetics. I totally recommend the website as I found them very helpful and the shipping was super fast ... about 3 days and no I did not pay for extra delivery yep they're just that great but of course it depends where you are located. Alternatively if you're in the US you could always go to the main source - Luantick Cosmetic Labs.

Phew that's it.

So have you tried Lunatick Cosmetic Labs?
Any thoughts on the brand?
Have you been hit by the vegan lip companies with strange lip colours bug? (I have and its still continuing)
What's the weirdest shade in your collection and how do you wear it?

Your comments are always welcomed and appreciated!
Peace Out
:)
