About
"AS A VINTAGE VAMP, YOU DRESS FOR YOURSELF BUT CAN'T HELP INTOXICATING OTHERS WITH JUST A GLANCE.Your palette is deep and intense and you adore the richest, most beguiling colours from captivating crimsons to sumptuous rose golds.A veritable modern day Lauren Bacall, Louisa Brooks or Daisy Buchanan, with an obsession for all things antique gold and vintage treasures. You frequent hedonistic parties where you’ll be found applying burgundy rouge from a vintage golden compact and sketching out the heart shaped lip-line that you borrowed from Kiki de Montparnesse."
Packaging
I absolutely adore the packaging of Charlotte Tilbury's makeup range. It's inspired by vintage, 1920's art deco - combining rose gold finishes with dark crimson. Some of them are more flashy than others like this palette below. I will showcase the more flashy ones like her Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette, lipsticks and Bar of Gold highlighter (full reviews coming, but see a sneak peek here).
Above: outer box packaging.
Above: the compact itself. Surprisingly, for a luxury brand there was no pouch for the palette - not that I mind coz I never use them! I'm actually glad of this.
There's a handy mirror under the lid as per first photograph. There's a cute little star etched in the top right corner of the mirror, too, which I thought was a rather cute touch. :) No applicator brushes are provided, which is also unusual for a luxury brand. /:-\ But, this might not bother those you prefer to use their own full-sized eye brushes.

Ingredients
As per the label on the bottom of the palette, it's been colour-coded and all colours are designed to blend seamlessly into three looks, taking you from what Charlotte likes to call: "DESK to DUSK to DISCO". :)
#1 Prime shade: a pale, pink lavender with silver micro-shimmers for a strong sheen effect on the eyes.
#2 Enhance shade: a little bit of this either as an eye liner or in the outer corners of the eyes will add depth appropriate for day wear or take you to your desk in the office. It's a very warm-toned, brownish plum.
#3 Smoke shade: deepest shade in the palette to add further depth to your eyes - perfect for dusk. It's a deep, plum with more brown in it and has a bit of gold and fuchsia micro-shimmers in it that give a slight glow to the eyes.
#4 Pop shade: is packed full of gold glitters that'll take you to that 'disco' look. It has similar in texture and glitter particle size to Tom Ford's glittery eye shadow in 'Cognac Sable' (02) Eye Color Quad. It's quite sheer to begin with, but can be built up with more layers by gently dabbing into the high point of the eye (centre of the lid). It also has a very slight pale, mauve undertone in the powder combined with the gold glitter particles so it all works harmoniously with the rest of the plum-toned palette. Just beware the glitter is quite obvious and large and can be prone to a bit of fall-out, so I recommend applying your eye shadows first prior to the rest of your makeup including your base/foundation.
The shades #1 to 3 all apply buttery, smooth and are extremely pigmented. Overall, they are on par in terms of texture and pigmentation with Tom Ford eye shadows - even the types of shades and textures remind me of Tom Ford's.
Longevity
I wore these eye shadows from morning through 'til midnight and noticed only a little bit of fading. So I'm quite impressed. My eye lids have normal skin condition (neither oily or dry), and I did not use eye primer.
Swatches
All swatches were applied on my olive, tanned summer skin tone and photographed indoors using a strobe.
Take 1
Take 2 (to satisfy my OCD tendencies). ;)
The Palette in Action
See Charlotte's tutorial video on how to achieve the look using this palette here.
Made in Italy
Just out of interest - same as Tom Ford. I wonder if they were even made in the same factory? ;) As I've mentioned before, they make good powders here I tell ya! Another example is Burberry's eye shadows which are amongst if not my most favourite.
RRP & Size
£38.00 for 5.2 g / 0.18 oz of product. It certainly is more affordable to fork out this much at once compared to Tom Ford. However, the latter works out cheaper at £6.2 / g (with a total of 10 g / 0.35 oz).
Availability
Part of the permanent range. Charlotte Tilbury (UK only), or for international shipping try Selfridges or Net-A-Porter.
