HITS OF THE RUNWAYS

I show you which trends the fashion set is obsessing over this seasons; from pretty ruffles to the sweetest hues, take your pick and work them into your wardrobe.

BRA TOPS
---> The belly- baring trend seems to be staying, so we say, embrace it before it's too late! But make sure you've got a set of toned abs before you try this look. If you're going for the biker- chic effect, opt for a leather bra top with a leather skirt. If you're not so keen about showing too much skin, throw a short jacket over your bra top and pair it with a high- waisted skirt or pants.

PENCIL SKIRTS
---> The best way to show off your curves this seasons is a with body- hugging pencil skirts, which also the best companion for flouncy tops. Dress it up in the evening with a silk or leather top, or pair with slouchy T- shirts for a more relaxed look. Brogues, loafers and stilettos also work for this look. For an even more flattering vibe, try a pencil skirts with a side slit a la Loewe to draw attention to your legs and away from your middle section.

SOFT LEATHER
---> You would think by summer, leather would be something of the past: you can't be more wrong! Stuart Vevers, Creative Director of Loewe, prove that leather can be worn throughout  summer by adding "lightness" to the fabric. Some designers, turned to laser cut- outs of leather. Leather this seasons has definitely  turned more feminine with a palette of black, white and cream shades that are combined with softer silhouettes.

FUN STRIPES
---> Designer are turning simple design into wild, eye- popping style statements with monochorome stripes. Whether skinny or fat, stripes made for a graphic silhouette on the catwalks. Instead, of the multi- colored stripes we saw last two seasons, black and white stripes features heavily this seasons. I think any shape can pull off this trend! If you want to appear slimmer and taller, go for vertical stripes instead.

MONOCHROME MADNESS
---> Fashion has reinvented this classic combo yet again by teaming it with tougher, more forward thinking look on the runways. Black and white is an extremely sophisticated and chic color combination for the office or the weekends. It provides clean and sleek silhouette, and is versatile enough to look stylish with whatever accessories you choose.

PRETTY PASTELS
---> Sweet ice- cream hues are coming into view as the coolest base on which to build youe summer wardrobe. While it's fun to mix different pastel shades a la Diane Von Furstenberg, you can also opt for more elegant, tone- on- tone layering like Roland Mouret. These colors best suit  those with tanned skin, lending radiance so you don't look washed out of pale.

ANKLE GRAZES
---> I know i've been raving about this trend for the past couple months, but it seems to be sticking around this seasons, and i've seen pretty sure, for a long time! What's not to love  about this pants' length? First of all you get to show off your standout heels of the seasons in them, and there go also perfectly well with flats. Trust me; it's a win- win situation here!

FROU- FROU RUFFLES
---> I think ruffles add sensuality to any pieces of clothing., because of the wat they flutter as you move. This seasons, the pleated details  were on necklines, waist, cuffs and even hems bigger and more exaggagerated than before. Look for ones in solid colors, and pair with simple, structured pieces to prevent the style from overwhelming your figure.

SHEER PANELS
---> I love the hint of subtle sexiness. Making small appearances on flow- y dresses or skirts, the light and airy texture is definitely a pretty option for summer. To dress up it up even more, pair it with something heavenly such as delicate heels sprinkled with crystals and pretty bows. I think it's the best  look for a cocktail party!

SPORTY CHIC
---> It's time to inject some fun into your wardrobe. From bold, graphic prints to pastel hues in low- key silhouettes, the sporty look this time around is much understated. You don't have to be a gym freak to pull it off. The laid- back yet sleek separates amp up any weekend esemble. To ace the look, choose simple shapes and highlight crisp, neutral colors like white, khaki and navy, with a burst of brights.

WHITEWASHED
---> White gets an update this seasons with interesting cuts, fabrics and silhouettes- think laser- cuts hole, panels, lace and eyelet. What normally was an ordinary white shift dress or shirt was either sliced or cut run- domly along the bodice or skirts. To add more sex appeal, a formfitting shape, cinched- in waist otr startegic cut- outs do the trick.

XOXO
